Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthi movement has reportedly launched offensive operations in the oil-rich Marib Governorate, with fierce clashes reported in the strategic region. Marib has long been a key battleground in Yemen’s war and holds major importance because of its oil and gas resources and critical energy infrastructure. Any significant Houthi advance in Marib could have major military and economic consequences, potentially giving the group greater leverage over one of Yemen’s most important energy hubs. The latest fighting comes as Yemen’s wider conflict shows signs of renewed escalation, with the Houthis seeking to expand their territorial control while forces opposed to the movement attempt to hold key strategic areas. #marib #yemen #houthis #ansarullah #mariboffensive #yemenwar #houthioffensive #yemenconflict #saudiarabia #iran #middleeast #oil #redsea Times Of India (TOI) Is The Largest Selling English Daily In The World.
