MPs have voted against legalising assisted dying in England and Wales, with the bill defeated 286 to 270 at its second reading. The result is a major setback for campaigners and means the measure is unlikely to become law before the next general election. A near-identical bill passed the Commons in the previous parliament but was later blocked by the House of Lords. Ian Collins interviews Spokesperson for the Care Not Killing Alliance, Dr Mark Pickering. #AssistedDying #AssistedDyingUK #AssistedSuicide #UKPolitics #BritishPolitics #HouseOfCommons #Parliament #Labour #England #Wales #EndOfLifeCare #TerminalIllness #UKNews Have you got a story?
