A weapons storage facility in central Bulgaria has been hit by an overnight explosion and fire, raising fresh concerns over security at Bulgaria’s munitions sites and the wider NATO security environment. The blaze broke out near Tsareva Livada, with officials saying the fire spread from warehouse to warehouse. No injuries were reported. The facility was reportedly operated by EMCO, the Bulgarian arms company run by Emilian Gebrev, whose facilities have previously been linked by Bulgarian prosecutors to alleged Russian sabotage. The latest incident comes only weeks after another fire at an EMCO facility. Bulgarian authorities have previously alleged links between explosions at EMCO arms depots, the 2015 poisoning attempt against Gebrev, and the 2014 Czech ammunition depot blasts. Moscow has rejected those allegations. #bulgaria #nato #russia #ukraine #europe #breakingnews #worldnews #militarynews #geopolitics #natoalliance #russiaukrainewar #europeansecurity #weaponsdepot #munitions
