Police in Portsmouth are using enhanced powers to restrict protesters from concealing their identities following disorder at anti-migration demonstrations last weekend. The measures come after a man was charged with violent disorder and assaulting a police officer over the protest at Eastney Marina, where officers were injured and emergency-service vehicles damaged. Further anti-migration demonstrations are expected as the row grows over face coverings, policing tactics and accusations of double standards. Peter Cardwell speaks with retired Scotland Yard Detective Chief Inspector Mike Neville. Have you got a story?
