Donald Trump has stunned Westminster after saying he would “love” to see a united Ireland and predicting that Irish reunification will eventually happen. Speaking during a visit to Dublin, the US President acknowledged that Britain would have a say over Northern Ireland’s future but described reunification as a “fantastic thing”. Trump later returned to the controversy during a public address, joking that there was “no good answer” to the question before saying a united Ireland would be “very cool”. Alex Phillips reacts live as Trump doubles down on one of the most politically sensitive issues in the UK-US relationship. Have you got a story?
