The Houthis and Saudi-backed forces are at war — and the fighting is not de-escalating. Fresh Houthi missile and drone attacks reportedly targeted a military base in southern Saudi Arabia as clashes intensify across Yemen. Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree claimed the Sharurah base was targeted, while Saudi authorities reported injuries and damage from a separate projectile near the southern border with Yemen. The escalation comes as fighting continues around the strategic Bab al-Mandeb Strait, a critical shipping chokepoint connecting the Red Sea to the Gulf of Aden. Meanwhile, Yemen’s internationally recognised government forces are regrouping for a possible return to the battlefield. US President Donald Trump says the Houthis have contacted Washington, asking it not to intervene in the conflict. As violence spreads, around 1,400 people have reportedly fled Yemen for Djibouti in just 24 hours. #houthis #yemenwar #saudiarabia #yemen #redsea #babalm andeb #middleeast #iran #g
