German investigators are reportedly tracing the failed drone attack at Leipzig/Halle Airport to Russia’s GRU military intelligence agency, according to German media reports citing security assessments. A Russian national allegedly linked to the GRU is suspected of organising the operation, while a Belarusian national is accused of carrying out the attack against a Ukrainian transport aircraft on August 4. Investigators say the explosives-laden drone was neutralised before detonation, while further evidence points to a potentially coordinated sabotage operation. The case has intensified tensions between Berlin and Moscow, with Germany taking diplomatic measures against Russia while the Kremlin denies involvement. #leipzig #germany #russia #gru #ukraine #droneattack #leipzigairport #russianspies #russianintelligence #germanyrussia #sabotage #hybridwar #putin #moscow #berlin #geopolitics #europe #nato #war #ukrainewar Stay connected with Times Now World for real-time global news and ana
