The conflict in Yemen is intensifying as Houthi forces advance towards government strongholds in Taiz and Marib. More than 85,000 civilians have been displaced, with some fleeing across the Red Sea to Djibouti as fighting spreads. Correspondent Yousef Mawry reports from Sanaa on the humanitarian impact of the offensive, while analyst Adam Baron examines the strategic importance of the Houthi capture of Mocka and its proximity to the Bab al-Mandab Strait. The Houthis are seeking to strengthen their military position and gain leverage for a political settlement. Their push towards Marib also puts Yemen’s vital oil and gas resources in focus, as the group faces a severe financial crisis.
