Houthi-aligned tribes have reportedly staged a major mobilisation east of Sanaa, displaying long columns of armed pickups and declaring their readiness to advance toward Marib. The authenticity of circulating mobilisation footage has not been independently verified. Regional reports nevertheless suggest that fighters and vehicles are being transferred toward positions surrounding the governorate, while Saudi-backed government forces respond with artillery and airstrikes. Marib is one of Yemen’s most important oil-and-gas regions and a principal stronghold of the internationally recognised government. A new offensive would come after the Houthis seized Khawkhah, Mokha and strategic Mayun Island, potentially forcing government forces to divide their manpower between recovering the Red Sea coast and defending Yemen’s energy heartland. #Houthis #Yemen #Marib #SaudiArabia #YemenWar #Mokha #RedSea #BabElMandeb #MiddleEast #Iran Times Of India (TOI) Is The Largest Selling English Daily In T
