Six years ago Roman Kemp received the devastating news that his best friend and colleague, Joe Lyons, had taken his own life. Now the broadcaster has teamed up with the Premier League and Samaritans for Together Against Suicide, an initiative that offers opportunities for fans to talk in a safe, non-judgemental setting at home match days across all 20 Premier League clubs. Someone in the UK takes their own life every 90 minutes, and one in four people will experience suicidal thoughts in their lifetime. Roman told Susanna and Ed that 70% of men are more likely to talk to their football club than their GP, and is raising awareness of the scheme so people know where they can find help. #premierleague #suicideawareness #mentalhealth Stream Good Morning Britain live, every weekday from 6am on the ITVX 📲 http://daytimelink.itv.com/WatchGMBYT Subscribe now for more! http://bit.ly/1NbomQa Like, follow and subscribe to Good Morning Britain!
