The United Kingdom is facing a fresh constitutional crisis as leaders from Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland meet in Cardiff to discuss closer cooperation and the future of the UK. With pro-independence or pro-unification forces now leading all three devolved nations, pressure on Westminster is growing over demands for greater constitutional powers and clearer legal pathways to future change. The Cardiff summit comes amid renewed debate over Scottish independence, Northern Ireland's potential constitutional future and the balance of power between Westminster and the devolved governments. Comments by UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham have also sparked a political row over the possibility of future referendums. So, is the UK actually breaking up? Not yet—but the meeting could mark an important new phase in the debate over whether Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland should have a greater say in determining their constitutional futures. #UKBreakup #UnitedKingdom #UKConstitutional
