Calls for a cap on political donations are set to be debated by peers after two crypto-billionaires made £72 million in donations to Reform UK, as Reporter Lewis Denison explains. Christopher Harborne and Ben Delo each gave £36 million to the party, which together amounts to the largest sum of money donated a UK political party. Reform UK has said it will use the money to fund its preparations for office, and that the men want “nothing” in return, with party leader Nigel Farage stating that he was "honoured and humbled" by the payments. Deputy leader Richard Tice told ITV News that the donations are "compliant with the existing law and with the law that is currently going through the Houses of Parliament". • Subscribe to ITV News on YouTube: http://bit.ly/2lOHmNj • Get breaking news and more stories at http://www.itv.com/news Follow ITV News on TikTok https://www.tiktok.com/@itvnews?lang=en Follow ITV News on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/itvnews/ Follow ITV News on Faceb
