The European Commission warned Ukraine to safeguard the independence of its anti-corruption institutions as a dispute between the Prosecutor General’s Office and the National Anti-Corruption Bureau, NABU, threatens to complicate Kyiv’s bid for European Union membership. EU spokesperson Guillaume Mercier said independent anti-corruption bodies were a key part of Ukraine’s rule of law and must be allowed to operate properly. The warning followed allegations against NABU chief Semen Kryvonos after outgoing Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko resigned amid a corruption investigation involving officials in his office. Brussels also condemned a Russian strike near Ukraine’s border with Poland and reaffirmed its support for Kyiv. #ukraine #europeanunion #eu #kyiv #brussels #zelensky #ukraineeu #corruption #nabu #sapo #ukrainewar #russia #putin #russiaukrainewar #eumembership #europe #geopolitics #prosecutorgeneral #ruleoflaw #europeancommission Stay connected with Times Now World for real-
