Reform UK is under scrutiny after the party received a record £72 million double donation from two crypto billionaires. Reform has insisted the twin £36 million gifts from Ben Delo and Christopher Harborne, who are both based abroad, are in line with both current rules and planned restrictions on money from donors based overseas, which are being considered in the Lords on Monday. An amendment to the Representation of the People Bill would restrict donations from expats to £100,000, with the cap also applying for the first 12 months after they return to the UK – changes that would be backdated to March 25 this year. Nigel Farage has criticised the move to apply the new law retrospectively to donations made at the weekend. • Subscribe to ITV News on YouTube: http://bit.ly/2lOHmNj • Get breaking news and more stories at http://www.itv.com/news Follow ITV News on TikTok https://www.tiktok.com/@itvnews?lang=en Follow ITV News on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/itvnews/ Follow ITV
