A Russian drone strike that damaged a train near Yahodyn in western Ukraine, around two kilometres from the Polish border, has triggered fresh alarm across Europe. Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo called Russia a “permanent threat” to Europe and urged tougher sanctions and action against Moscow's shadow fleet. German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius said Berlin would not accept further escalation but urged Europe to remain level-headed and avoid provocation. The strike occurred shortly after Western officials reportedly travelled through the area, raising concerns over the security of a key diplomatic rail route into Ukraine. Russia says it targeted railway infrastructure used to transport military cargo. #russia #ukraine #poland #nato #finland #germany #putin #petteriorpo #borispistorius #russiaukrainewar #natoeasternflank #europe #europeanunion #russianstrike #dronestrike #polandborder #ukrainewar #geopolitics #war #sanctions Stay connected with Times Now World for real-time gl
