Should balaclavas and face coverings be banned? 🤔 GB News spoke to residents of Nottingham to get their opinion as fear continues to strike those on the streets. Police and community protection officers in Nottingham will have the authority to demand balaclavas and "skeleton masks" be removed where they have reasonable grounds to believe the coverings are being used to hide someone's identity for criminal or antisocial purposes. Refusal to comply could result in a £70 on-the-spot fine, while prosecution carries a maximum penalty of £1,000. Nottingham City Council leader Neghat Khan said residents had been left feeling intimidated by individuals wearing balaclavas, skeleton masks or similar coverings without any "legitimate justification". #Nottingham #Balaclava #UKNews #GBNews Keep up to date with GB News at gbnews.com or on X @GBNEWS Become a Friend of GB News: gbnews.com/friend
