Sydney Sweeney is facing fresh backlash after her latest Novig sports advertisement sparked a heated online debate over the sexualisation and representation of women in sports advertising. The campaign features Sweeney posing with various sports equipment while wearing minimal clothing, prompting critics to accuse the brand of focusing on her body rather than the message of the campaign. Sweeney has not directly addressed the criticism, but she appeared to respond indirectly by sharing photos of famous athletes including Serena Williams, Ronda Rousey, Sue Bird and Megan Rapinoe, who have also participated in photoshoots involving minimal clothing. Her apparent response has added another layer to the controversy, with social media users debating whether the comparison is relevant and whether the Novig campaign crosses the line between provocative marketing and objectification. #SydneySweeney #SydneySweeneyAd #SydneySweeneyBacklash #SydneySweeneyNovig #Novig #NovigAd #SydneySweeney
