In this video, Firstpost explains why cups of boba are appearing around a Ganesha shrine outside a Bangkok mall, and how some devotees believe offerings should grow when wishes come true. The tradition reflects a local Thai twist to Ganesha worship, with devotees offering something they personally enjoy. The video also explores Ganesha’s deep cultural connection with Thailand, where he is known as Phra Phikanet, and looks at how bubble tea became part of this unusual offering tradition.
