There has been no pause in fighting between Russia and Ukraine, despite US President Donald Trump's claim that both sides would temporarily stop targeting each other's critical energy infrastructure. Russia says a gas pipeline was hit in the south of the country in an attack overnight, while officials in the Zaporizhzhia region of Ukraine said Russian attacks had disrupted power supplies to some areas. Moscow has targeted Ukraine’s power grid throughout the war, leading to significant blackouts. Meanwhile, Kyiv has ramped up its strikes on oil refineries and other energy facilities, as its drones and missiles reach further into Russian territory.
