Democratic Representative Al Green confronted Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent over Donald Trump’s cryptocurrency during a House Financial Services Committee hearing. Green accused Trump of earning transaction fees whenever the coin is bought or sold while early holders profit and ordinary investors absorb the losses. He claimed investors had lost approximately $3.81 billion and compared the structure to a “legalized Ponzi scheme.” Bessent said he was unfamiliar with the matter and argued that it did not appear to meet the definition of a Ponzi scheme. The exchange did not establish that Trump Coin is legally classified as such. #DonaldTrump #TrumpCoin #ScottBessent #AlGreen #Crypto #Cryptocurrency #MemeCoin #Congress #USPolitics #TrumpCrypto Times Of India (TOI) Is The Largest Selling English Daily In The World.
