Iran has intensified attacks across the Gulf, marking a dangerous regional escalation. A Moroccan civilian contractor working with the UAE armed forces was killed in a missile strike in Bahrain. Five UAE defence personnel were also injured and taken to hospital. The UAE and Bahrain report hundreds of missiles and drones targeting their territories. Saudi Arabia’s eastern energy hub has also faced waves of Iranian drone attacks. Riyadh is relying on alternative oil routes via Yanbu to bypass the Strait of Hormuz. The attacks are straining already fragile relations between Iran and Gulf states. Al Jazeera’s Resul Serdar reports from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
