The aircraft went down just before 7:00 PM on the 9100 block of North Mason Avenue, slamming into shipping containers and parked vehicles between two commercial buildings before bursting into flames. The crash claimed three lives—including at least one bystander on the ground—and sent others to local hospitals. NBC4 news anchor Colleen Williams broke down live on air while reporting the tragedy after losing contact with NewsChopper4's crew. Over 70 LAFD firefighters responded to douse the flames as the NTSB and FAA launched a full investigation into the fatal crash.
