An Indian Navy warship and a Pakistan Navy vessel have collided in international waters in the North Arabian Sea, triggering a diplomatic protest from New Delhi. India’s Ministry of External Affairs has summoned Pakistan’s Charge d’Affaires and lodged a strong protest over what it described as the “unacceptable and unprofessional conduct” of Pakistani naval units. According to Indian government sources, the Pakistani vessel approached the Indian warship at high speed and manoeuvred unsafely before the collision.
