An Indian Navy vessel and a Pakistan Navy vessel were involved in a collision in international waters, prompting New Delhi to summon Pakistan’s Charge d’Affaires and lodge a strong diplomatic protest. India’s Ministry of External Affairs described the Pakistani naval unit’s conduct as “unacceptable and unprofessional” and said it was contrary to Article 10 of the 1991 India-Pakistan agreement covering military exercises and manoeuvres.
