Residents of Piddington have voiced serious concerns over plans to house more than 1,000 male asylum seekers at a former RAF base near their village. Local women say they fear being vastly outnumbered, while families have raised concerns about the potential impact on their children, community facilities and sense of safety. Villagers have now held a referendum on the controversial plans as they call on the Government to listen and act. Jamie Perkin, a Piddington resident and father, joins Peter Cardwell to explain why he believes his family’s way of life is under threat, and why his seven-year-old son is still waiting for a response from Downing Street. #migrants #asylumseekers #illegalimmigration Have you got a story?
