In a journey filled with love, lessons, and laughs, Efthimios Nasiopoulos reflects on dropping out of university to pursue comedy and ultimately finding his way back to the classroom decades later. Through his experiences as a comedian and philosophy student, he explores how returning to school challenged his worldview and reshaped the way he thinks about learning, success, and the paths we take through life. Efthimios Nasiopoulos was born in Toronto to blue-collar Greek immigrant parents. After dropping out of university to pursue his passion for comedy, he built a career as a professional stand-up comedian, touring across North America for over 20 years. He later returned to university, earning a degree in philosophy from UBC. He is currently developing his one-person show, A Fool in School. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
