A news helicopter crashed Tuesday evening in a commercial part of Los Angeles, killing three people – including the veteran pilot and an aerial photojournalist-reporter – and leaving others injured, officials said. The Eurocopter AS350, working for stations NBC4 and Telemundo 52, crashed while providing coverage of a fatal bus collision in Chatsworth, a suburban neighborhood about 25 miles northwest of downtown, the stations said. NBC4 anchor Colleen Williams confirmed live on air that the crash involved its helicopter team – telling viewers, “We are going to take a couple of minutes to think about that, to process and to regroup” – before the station switched temporarily to other programming. 0:00 Tragedy as three people killed after a news helicopter crashes 2:53 Transportation analyst analyzes the probable cause 5:46 The latest on the investigation Watch 24/7 live news with CNN Headlines: https://bit.ly/4eIvlTr #breakingnews #helicopter #News
