US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent's testimony before the House Financial Services Committee in Washington was repeatedly interrupted by protesters opposing US sanctions on Iran. Hecklers accused Bessent and the Trump administration of harming Iranian civilians and repeatedly shouted demands to end the sanctions, prompting Committee Chairman French Hill to suspend the hearing several times while Capitol Police restored order. Bessent's testimony focused on the international financial system, US sanctions on Iran, the dollar's reserve-currency status, economic growth and the Trump administration's economic policies. #bessent #scottbessent #iran #iransanctions #uscongress #congress #trump #trumpadministration #ustreasury #washingtondc #iranwar #ussanctions #capitolhill #geopolitics #usanews #breakingnews #timesnowworld Stay connected with Times Now World for real-time global news and analysis: 🌐 Read full coverage: https://www.timesnownews.com/world 📱 Instagram: https://www.instagra
