Senator Adam Schiff confronts FBI Director Kash Patel during a contentious Senate Judiciary Committee oversight hearing. Schiff pressed Patel over alleged FBI personnel changes involving agents connected to investigations of Donald Trump and the January 6 attack, repeatedly questioning whether agents had been fired because of their previous work. Patel rejected the idea of a “purging,” saying FBI personnel were held to the same standards and noting that some had retired or left before he became director. Schiff also challenged Patel over his past comments about the mainstream media and questioned whether FBI resources had been used to investigate journalists. Patel denied personally ordering such investigations and said he was not aware of FBI personnel doing so. The hearing also focused on Patel’s management of the bureau, personnel changes and controversies surrounding his tenure. #AdamSchiff #KashPatel #FBI #FBIHearing #SenateJudiciaryCommittee #SchiffVsPatel #KashPatelHearing
