Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said on Wednesday that the BRICS grouping had helped create space for Iran and the United Arab Emirates to set aside longstanding differences and focus on a constructive agenda. Ryabkov said BRICS partners had expressed solidarity in seeking a “sensible way forward” on the Ukraine conflict and praised their willingness to assist, while adding that it was too early to discuss specific forms of practical support. He also said prospects for a political settlement in Ukraine remained distant, attributing the lack of progress to what he called the “European party of war.” On other issues, Ryabkov said Russia continued to advocate a legally binding agreement to prevent strike weapons in outer space and said there was currently no strategic stability dialogue between Moscow and Washington. #brics, #brics2026, #russia, #ryabkov, #iran, #uae, #iranuae, #bricsdiplomacy, #bricscountries, #bricsstrength, #iranuaerelations, #russiairan, #russiauae, #u
