Palestinian director Hosam Abu Dan, whose film "Thirteen in Gaza" had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, reflected on the significance of bringing a film from Gaza to a global audience, saying the premiere is a testament to the hard work and dedication behind the project. The film tells the story of Raghad, a 13-year-old girl who has just entered puberty, as she navigates life with her father in the Gaza Strip, struggling to find a safe space for her confusion and desperate for care and support. #tiff2026 #gaza #film #cinema #movie #News #Reuters #Newsfeed Read the story here: https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/palestinian-director-shows-everyday-struggles-gaza-with-film-puberty-toronto-2026-09-16/ 👉 Subscribe: https://reut.rs/4b8fRGn Keep up with the latest news from around the world: https://www.reuters.com/ Follow Reuters on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Reuters Follow Reuters on X: https://twitter.com/Reuters Follow Reuters on Instagra
