Austin Abrams and director Zach Cregger sit down with MovieWeb’s Joe Deckelmeier to talk about bringing a new Resident Evil story to the big screen. Cregger reveals the Weapons moment that convinced him Abrams was the perfect person to lead Resident Evil, while Abrams breaks down the surprising mix of Marty McFly, John McClane, and Kevin McCallister that helped shape his character, Bryan. Cregger also explains how the movie recreates the games’ nerve-racking resource management, right down to making audiences count every bullet, and addresses whether Bryan could eventually cross paths with iconic Resident Evil characters like Leon Kennedy, saying the possibility is “not off the table.” SUBSCRIBE → https://goo.gl/rRQ5W7 Movie news, movie trailers, movie clips & more: https://movieweb.com Follow us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/movieweb Follow us on Twitter https://twitter.com/movieweb Follow us on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/movieweb/ #ResidentEvil #ZachCregger #Aus
