Buckingham Palace has hit back at claims made by Earl Spencer, the brother of the late Diana, Princess of Wales, in a new book, with a spokesperson saying "fraternal grief can cloud reason". It's alleged that just days after Diana's death in 1997, Charles - then the Prince of Wales - told her brother "rest assured, we'll forget her soon enough", during a discussion about funeral arrangements in which Prince William and Prince Harry, then aged 15 and 12, walked behind their mother's coffin. Responding to the claims, made in a memoir by Diana's brother Earl Spencer which is being serialised in the Daily Mail, a Buckingham Palace spokesperson said Charles is "mindful that the pain of fraternal grief can cloud reason". #king #diana #royal #princessdiana Stream Good Morning Britain live, every weekday from 6am on the ITVX 📲 http://daytimelink.itv.com/WatchGMBYT Subscribe now for more! http://bit.ly/1NbomQa Like, follow and subscribe to Good Morning Britain!
