England and Wales need significant rainfall to end the drought, with groundwater reservoir levels continuing to decline. Above-average rainfall is needed until April next year to come out of drought, with the Environment Agency saying around 120% of typical rainfall is required over the next seven months for all areas to recover. The Environment Agency said that despite some wet weather during the first half of September, almost three-quarters of England remains in drought, following an exceptionally dry spring and summer, as well as a succession of heatwaves. #drought #weather #rain Stream Good Morning Britain live, every weekday from 6am on the ITVX πŸ“² http://daytimelink.itv.com/WatchGMBYT Subscribe now for more! http://bit.ly/1NbomQa Like, follow and subscribe to Good Morning Britain!
