European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and EU tech chief Henna Virkkunen unveil the EU Kids Act in Strasbourg, a major proposal aimed at protecting children from online risks. The plan targets social media, online platforms and other digital services with stronger age-based protections and safety requirements. Von der Leyen has proposed no social media access before 13 and no personal accounts before 15, with supervised mini-accounts for younger teenagers and stronger safety-by-design rules for older teens. The proposal puts Europe’s growing scrutiny of Big Tech, addictive features and harmful online content firmly in focus. --- EU Kids Act | Social Media Ban | Ursula Von Der Leyen | Social Media For Children | Big Tech Regulation | Child Online Safety | EU Social Media Rules | European Union | Social Media Age Limit | Europe Tech News | Firstpost #eukidsact #socialmediaban #socialmedia #ursulavonderleyen #bigtech #childsafety #onlineSafety #europeanunion #technews #fir
