Republican Rep. Mike Lawler, who represents much of the Lower Hudson Valley, told NY1's Errol Louis on "Inside City Hall" that he believes large AI companies should pay for their own energy use. "New York needs a coherent energy policy, but the large-scale AI companies should be paying for it," Lawler said. Amid a national discussion on data centers, Lawler, the incumbent in one of the most competitive House races in the country, said it should be the decision of local communities whether to welcome them. #NY1 #NYC #News #politics #ai #datacenter #hudsonvalley #newyork -------- For more on this and the latest NYC news: http://specne.ws/NY1YT Watch live news: http://specne.ws/YTliveSN Get the Spectrum News App on all your favorite devices: http://specne.ws/GetSNApp2
