We ask young people, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" But what if we're asking the wrong question? Rick Barker never dreamed of becoming an entrepreneur, music executive, speaker, or the first manager of Taylor Swift. Those titles didn't even exist in his world when he was growing up. Yet looking backward, the clues were there all along. Through a life marked by poverty, addiction, recovery, failure, unexpected success, and a decision to walk away from one of the biggest opportunities in music to choose his family, Barker explores the difference between the titles we collect and the qualities that have always been part of who we are. His challenge is simple: Instead of only asking young people what they want to become, start helping them recognize the clues already inside them. Maybe the better question isn't, "What do you want to be?" Maybe it's: Who have you always been? Rick Barker is a speaker, author, coach, and entrepreneur who believes the things that make us different
