In December 2014, Andreas Christopheros answered the door at his home in Truro and had a pint of concentrated sulphuric acid thrown over him. Attacker David Phillips had travelled around 300 miles to carry out a revenge attack but targeted Andreas’s home in a horrific case of mistaken identity. Twelve years, and countless operations later, Andreas has now overcome his fear of leaving his home. As he gets ready to raise awareness in an epic charity challenge, he’s here to tell us about helping other burn victims feel empowered, and why he prefers his life following the attack.
