The Archbishop of Canterbury is facing calls to resign after presenting an interfaith award to a Muslim cleric who had previously praised Osama bin Laden. Lambeth Palace has since withdrawn the honour following widespread criticism of the decision and the apparent failure to conduct proper background checks.
