British Prime Minister Andy Burnham met Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin in Manchester on Friday for bilateral talks focused on UK-Ireland relations and the Good Friday Agreement. Burnham described Martin as a “good friend” and said the two countries were working together to uphold the principles of the 1998 agreement, which helped end decades of conflict in Northern Ireland. The meeting came after U.S. President Donald Trump raised the issue of Irish unification during a visit to Ireland last week. Burnham and Martin were also due to visit an Irish community centre in Ashton-in-Makerfield following their meeting. #andyburnham, #michealmartin, #uk, #ireland, #ukireland, #goodfridayagreement, #northernireland, #irelandunification, #irishunity, #manchester, #ukpolitics, #irishpolitics, #donaldtrump, #europe, #worldnews, #breakingnews, #internationalnews, #geopolitics, #northernirelandnews, #irelandnews In this Times Now World News report, we break down the this topic: Stay c
