Kenya Power posts KSh25 billion net profit for 2026

Kenya Power has posted a 25-billion-shilling net profit for the year ended June 2026, supported by higher electricity sales and a sharp decline in finance costs. The company’s total revenue rose to 238 billion shillings, as domestic electricity demand increased and power exports grew more than fourfold. In light of the performance, the utility has proposed a dividend of one shilling and fifty cents per share. Jasmine Wambui reports.
