President William Ruto has cautioned politicians against using the police to settle their political scores, maintaining that security officers must remain non-partisan. Speaking when he presided over the passing-out parade of newly trained General Service Unit (GSU) recruits in Nairobi, President Ruto took note of the rising political temperatures in the country and urged politicians to pursue peaceful campaigns ahead of the 2027 General Election.
