The Collective Security Treaty Organisation (CSTO) concluded the active phase of its Frontier-2026 joint military exercises at the Koktal training range in Kazakhstan’s Jetisu region, with around 1,500 servicemen from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan taking part alongside more than 300 pieces of military and specialised equipment, including 115 unmanned aerial vehicles. The drills involved simulated combat against an armed group, hostage and civilian evacuations, air defence, electronic warfare, drone operations and counter-drone measures across mountainous and desert terrain. CSTO officials said the exercises incorporated experience from modern armed conflicts and were intended to strengthen coordination and the combat potential of the bloc’s Collective Forces amid what they described as a deteriorating international security environment. #csto, #frontier2026, #russia, #kazakhstan, #kyrgyzstan, #tajikistan, #centralasia, #military, #militarydrills, #militaryexercises, #w
