The United States has warned its allies to expect delivery delays of up to five years for key weapons systems as Washington works to rebuild its depleted munitions stockpile following the war with Iran, according to a Bloomberg report. Germany requested accelerated delivery of Tomahawk cruise missiles and the ground-based Typhon launcher system, but Bloomberg reports that manufacturer Raytheon, a subsidiary of RTX, is unlikely to fulfil the order within five years due to depleted stocks and production constraints, with several other European nations reportedly facing similar delays for critical missiles and air-defence systems. According to the report, the United States has burned through more than half of its most advanced Patriot missile variants, approximately a third of its Tomahawk cruise missiles, and nearly half of its THAAD interceptor inventory, with these systems representing core capabilities for long-range strikes and layered missile defence.
