Earl Spencer has doubled down on his claim that King Charles told him “we’ll forget her soon enough” following Princess Diana’s death. Buckingham Palace has issued a rare public response questioning Spencer’s recollection, saying grief can “cloud reason, affect judgment and colour memory”.
