Explosions were heard in Saudi Arabia’s capital, Riyadh, and Al-Kharj as authorities issued an air raid alert and warned residents of a ‘hostile aerial threat’. The alert was lifted around 30 minutes later, but the incident marks the first time Riyadh has been directly affected since July, amid escalating conflict in neighbouring Yemen. The developments come as Yemen-based Houthis have intensified attacks and declared a maritime blockade of Saudi Arabia. --- Houthis | Red Sea | Saudi Arabia | Riyadh | Explosions | Al-Kharj | Bab Al-Mandeb | Houthi attack | Iran war | Firstpost #houthi #redsea #saudiarabia #houthiattack #babelmandeb #iranwar #riyadh #saudiarabianews #firstpost Firstpost is an Indian news and media website.
