Protesters are gathering outside the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, amid an escalating dispute over the institution’s future, its board and efforts to add President Donald Trump’s name to the building. The group Hands Off the Arts has organised a rally and human chain around the center, with hundreds of participants expected to attend. The demonstration follows the Kennedy Center board’s decision to close the venue for up to two years for a proposed $257 million renovation. A federal judge has also blocked the latest attempt to add Trump’s name to the facade, ruling that congressional approval is required. --- Kennedy Center | Kennedy Center Protest | Donald Trump | Trump Name Row | Hands Off The Arts | Kennedy Center Board | Washington DC | Kennedy Center Rally | Trump Kennedy Center | Kennedy Center Renovation | US Politics | Protesters Rally | Firstpost #kennedycenter #kennedycenterprotest #donaldtrump #trump #handsoffthearts #kennedycenterrally #washingtondc #trumpname #kenn
