Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney appeared to take a pointed swipe at U.S. President Donald Trump during a speech in Ottawa, mimicking Trump’s familiar “accordion-like” hand gesture twice. Carney used the gesture while talking about a major clean-energy project that he said would produce the equivalent of “18 Hoover Dams,” prompting laughter from the room. The moment came amid strained U.S.-Canada relations, with trade negotiations suspended and Trump’s tariffs continuing to weigh on the relationship. Carney has also been pushing for stronger ties between Canada and Europe as Ottawa seeks to reduce its reliance on the United States. #MarkCarney #DonaldTrump #Trump #Carney #Canada #USCanada #TrumpCarney #CanadaNews #TrumpNews #PoliticalNews #WorldNews #CarneyTrump #CanadaUS Times Of India (TOI) Is The Largest Selling English Daily In The World.
