Munich's 191st Oktoberfest opened on Saturday, September 19, drawing thousands of visitors to the Theresienwiese for the traditional 16-day Bavarian beer and folk festival. The event began with the ceremonial tapping of the first keg and the traditional cry of "O'zapft is!" as beer tents, brass bands, horse-drawn brewery floats and amusement rides welcomed visitors. Security has been tightened this year, with around 600 police officers deployed, increased surveillance and restrictions on large bags, knives and drones. Oktoberfest runs from September 19 to October 4, 2026. #oktoberfest #oktoberfest2026 #munich #munichoktoberfest #germany #germantradition #bavaria #bavarian #beerfestival #beer #munich2026 #germany2026 #oktoberfestsecurity #munichnews #germanynews #travelgermany #germanculture #theresienwiese #ozapftis #timesnowworld Stay connected with Times Now World for real-time global news and analysis: 🌐 Read full coverage: https://www.timesnownews.com/world 📱 Instagram: https:/
