Going into The Hustler (1961), I expected a classic sports movie about high-stakes pool games 🎱. What I actually got was a dark, tragic, and deeply psychological character study about pride, defeat, and self-destruction 🚬💔. Paul Newman’s performance as "Fast Eddie" Felson is nothing short of a masterclass 🎭🔥, and the film’s depth goes WAY beyond the billiard table 🌊🎬.
